Amit Anand joined the Corporate Development team of Scott Wilson Group pIc, the London-listed engineering consultancy, in May 2007. Scott Wilson Group plc, with over 6,000 members of staff, is an international consultancy offering engineering professional services in the transportation, property, environment and natural resources sectors. From its UK headquarters it currently controls a worldwide network of 80 offices. Reporting to the Corporate Development Director, Amit used his unique combination of creative skills and technical expertise to scope, design, build, and re-launch a new corporate website which reflected Scott Wilson's new pIc status. Throughout the project, Amit and his team worked very closely with the Group Brand Manager to ensure that the new site was on brand. Introducing the most up-to-date technologies and industry best practices throughout the Group, the new website was designed to be inspiring, informative, impactful and easy to navigate. To ensure ease of use for all the page owners, Amit also has developed a bespoke content management system which he called 'Assembler'. To further strengthen Scott Wilson's presence online, Amit developed a very effective search engine optimisation strategy. The installation of leading analytics software, WebTrends Analytics, has enabled Amit to track the results of this new SEO strategy. As of November 2008, in eleven months, traffic to our website has increased by 393% and 300% respectively in page views and number of hits. The average visit duration has also increased from 4 minutes to 5 minutes 29 seconds. I am also pleased to confirm that, since its launch in November 2007, a number of sale leads which originated from the web have now been converted into contracts with a monetary value in excess of £1 million. Following on from the successful re-launch of the UK corporate website, Amit used his proven project management skills to spearhead the development off our additional multi-lingual regional websites in Eastern Europe, China, Hong Kong, India and South East Asia Again, his main aim was to ensure brand integrity. As his Director, I have received numerous praises both from the engineering community and from functional directors for his input into their internet-based initiatives. His talent, hard work, dedication, innovative approach and his enthusiasm for going the extra mile were rewarded with a substantial discretionary bonus in August 2008.
